the Food processing and marketing project training course to beneficiaries of RUDEWA and MVUMI from KILOSA District together with KIROKA and MKUYUNI from MOROGORO RURAL District. The ceremony was held in King stone Hotel located at Nanenane in Morogoro municipal and it was attended by various people including the official guest the deputy mayor of Morogoro region Mr. Mohammed LUKWELE, community development officer from Morogoro region, two staff from Swiss contact, three Representatives from USAID, journalists, MVIWAMORO staffs, beneficiaries from KILOSA and Morogoro District. The aim of the ceremony was to close six months program and award certificates to 196 young mothers who graduated from the program. Before opening of the event, MVIWAMORO together with contact administered end of the training evaluation form. The form aimed to collect data from useful to assess the effectiveness of the training to young mothers and how will it help them create employment. After opening the ceremony coordinator from MVIWAMORO Mr. Joseph SENGASENGA gave a short presentation about the project to all participants. Briefly, the project was taking 200 young mothers aged 15-24 in which 50 young mothers from each ward at KILOSA and Morogoro district. Hundred young mother from KILOSA, trained on biscuit, Crips, chili, yoghurt milk processing. From Morogoro District young mothers trained to process pineapples and bananas using Sunlight energy as well as peanut butter.
The presentation was followed by short presentation from USAID on access to finance and business capital, and speech from the guest of honor. Guest of honor Mr. Mohamed LUKWELE emphasized young mother on hard working and unite, he promised the government support on young mothers to access loan from government when 4-42 program started again. Thereafter, guest of honor with support from high table members hand over training completion certificated to 196 young mothers graduated the program. 196 young mothers were awarded the certificate of the training completion from Swiss contact Tanzania. Moreover, Young mothers have linked with USAID access to finance to support their business from KILIMO TIJA program. Despite the end of the program but MVIWAMORO linked young mothers with partners to ensure sustainable support from MVIWAMORO and other stakeholders post training period. Generally, those young mothers were happy to awarded certificates from the training they received. The all participants acknowledged the efforts of MVIWAMORO and Swiss contact for helping the younger population especially young mothers. Lastly both young mothers from all district promised to do better in their production activities.
