From 3rd to 28th August 2023, MVIWAMORO conducted technical skills training at MVUMI village. 50 young mothers have been trained to process dried Bananas and Potatoes Crips, Yogurt, chill sauce and Pigeon peas Biscuits. The training was facilitated by ANNA SILVERSTER MLINGWA from SIDO-Morogoro and Hamis Ramdhani from MATI-Ilonga. The training lasted for 24 days and covered both theoretical and technical sessions. In theoretical session young mothers were trained on hygiene in food processing and steps in processing of each product. In practical session, young mothers were divided in two groups of 25 member each whereby morning and evening training sessions were conducted to accommodate smaller groups

 

Moreover, MVIWAMORO supported young mothers with production equipment and utensils such as oven, yogurt catalyst, blender, dishes, food flavors, packing material, Aprons and production raw materials such as wheat and pigeon pea flour, which were also used during the training
