At MVIWAMORO, we're committed to not only equipping youth with valuable skills but also providing avenues for them to thrive in the marketplace. As part of our comprehensive support package, we've spearheaded a dynamic Marketing Linkages initiative, connecting young mothers with lucrative market opportunities for their products. On April 19th, 2024, our dedicated field officers accompanied six enthusiastic young mothers, comprising sales and marketing teams from three groups, on a strategic market visit. Together, we explored various potential market areas, including St. Francis Referral Hospital in Ifakara town, local mini-supermarkets, wholesalers at the town marketplace, and even the prestigious National Torch Ceremony event in Mwaya village. Leveraging personal selling techniques, our young entrepreneurs engaged directly with potential customers, distributing product flyers and showcasing the quality and uniqueness of their offerings (Products: Parboiled rice, Peanut butter and Banana & Potatoes Crips).
But our efforts didn't stop there. Recognizing the importance of expanding market reach beyond local communities, we facilitated partnerships with supermarkets in Morogoro municipal, providing young mothers with access to broader consumer bases and increased sales opportunities. Additionally, we leveraged our organization's marketing portal, a digital platform designed to amplify visibility and promote products to a wider audience. The impact of these marketing linkages has been profound: • Market Penetration: Through targeted market visits and personal selling efforts, our young mothers have gained exposure in diverse market settings, fostering brand recognition and customer engagement. • Partnership Success: Collaboration with supermarkets in Morogoro municipal has opened doors to new distribution channels, allowing young mothers to tap into urban consumer markets and expand their customer base. • Digital Outreach: Harnessing the power of our marketing portal, we've facilitated seamless online promotion, ensuring that young mothers' products are showcased to a broader audience, driving traffic and generating interest.
